Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: "Tourism contributes £5.5bn a year to the Greater Manchester economy and it is important to recognise and celebrate the people and places responsible for that.
"As an industry we work incredibly close throughout the year to
provide a visitor experience that does justice to our great city.
Competition is fierce - good luck to all our entrants."
Award entries are shortlisted before being assessed by a panel of
industry experts who pick the winner. The accommodation and visitor
attraction shortlist is also 'mystery shopped' to provide
additional information for the judges.
