Heather Small to perform at Manchester Live!

Heather Small is to perform an exclusive live set at Manchester’s annual destination showcase event, Manchester Live!

The event, which is now in its third year and has previously seen performances by Alison Moyet and Russell Watson, will take place on Thursday 10 May at The Roof Gardens, Kensington, London.

Manchester Live! brings together over 35 of the city's finest venues and service providers for conference organisers and buyers to network in a relaxed and informal setting.

Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: "Manchester Live! has proven a great success since its launch in 2010 and we're thrilled to have secured Heather to perform at this year's event.

"As the lead singer in M People, one of Manchester's best loved 90s musical exports, Heather is an iconic performer well-known for her upbeat vocals.

"Manchester Live! is our chance to showcase the city's excellent business tourism product to delegates from the South East and we anticipate that Heather's performance will make this another standout event in the conferencing calendar."  

Business tourism is worth over £570m a year to the Greater Manchester economy each year.
